At Greensboro, Ga., Phillip Mollica fired a final round 69 to lead Clemson to a seventh place finish at the Linger Longer Invitational at Reynolds Plantation.
Mississippi won the event with a 856 total, while number-one ranked Georgia was second at 861. Clemson was seventh at 888. The Tigers were the only ACC team competing.
Mollica finished 15th overall, the top finish for a Clemson golfer, with a 218 score. He had rounds of 74-75-69 for the 54 holes. Mollica’s 69 on Sunday tied for the low round of the day in the field of 75 golfers.
